What Is Ticket Evolution?
Ticket Evolution is the result of 23 years of experience in the ticket industry combined with cutting edge technology. At its core, Ticket Evolution is a software company looking to replace the out of date tools that brokers still use to manage and run their operation with the modern ones they deserve. We make every process as seamless and automated as possible, so you can focus on the most important tasks your company requires and make money.
Ticket Evolution is a company owned 100% by the ticket community. We are composed of a twelve-person board, all of which are ticket brokers, elected by their peers and two influential leaders from outside of our industry. Our goal is to put control of brokers inventory back in their hands so they are not taken advantage of anymore.
Why was Ticket Evolution created?
Ticket Evolution was created out of necessity; the overwhelming cry for help from the secondary ticket industry go no longer unanswered. With profit margins shrinking and politicians constantly pushing to take money out of our pockets, the only companies still making money are the exchanges. For years ticket exchanges have dictated policies, demanded we work around the clock to improve their customers experience and done everything in their power to get their orders confirmed first.
The end results were large buyouts and great profit without much concern for the brokers that got them where they are today.
Why is Ticket Evolution different from other exchanges?
Ticket Evolution provides a completely fresh and new perspective on the secondary ticket industry. It is not our intention to replace any of the other existing exchanges, we simply seek to present brokers with an entirely different view from other aggregators. That is not to say that they have failed or done anything wrong, it is our belief that these exchanges all mirrored each other’s models and policies and there is no better time for change.
Our industry has survived numerous political attacks and the internet boom unlike many other industries. The only thing that does not appear to have evolved throughout all of this was the technology. There are several large ticket brokers that have taken it upon themselves, working closely with NATB, to make sure that certain bills did not get passed. We all owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to these people for allowing us to continue to sell tickets and provide for our families as many of them did it at their own expense.
How does Ticket Evolution plan to sell tickets and drive orders through the exchange?
Distribution of Ticket Evolution tickets will be largely reliant on our affiliate and partner platform. We are not looking to spend large amounts of raised capital on marketing as I believe most of us have learned how difficult making money can be while utilizing expensive marketing channels.
We feel that as a leader in technology and with an affiliate compensation plan that rivals any out there, we will be able to drive a significant amount of orders through our network. Ticket Evolution is hugely in favor of all pay for performance models.
How Do I Know If I Qualify To List My Tickets on Ticket Evolution?
In order to maintain the highest quality of ticket inventory, brokers must meet certain criteria in order to become a listing broker.
Brokers Must either:
- Be a current member in good standing with the National Association of Ticket Brokers (natb.org)
- Provide three references from NATB members in good standing.
The Ticket Evolution twelve seat board maintains final approval over any brokers requesting to upload inventory to Ticket Evolution.
Who owns Ticket Evolution?
Ticket Evolution is 100% owned by the ticket broker community. There was a private offering made available to ticket brokers in August 2010. All of the brokers that purchased shares during the offering period are owners in Ticket Evolution as well as the three founding members (read “Our Story” for more information).
Who Runs Ticket Evolution?
Ticket Evolution has a 12 seat board consisting of the three founding members, seven elected shareholders and two powerful and influential individuals from outside of the ticket industry.
Will there be another investment period for ticket brokers?
We feel it is extremely important for all ticket brokers to be involved with Ticket Evolution in order to become the strongest community and protect our future in this industry. For this reason there will likely be another offering in the future.
Will Ticket Evolution be working with other exchanges and platforms?
Our primary goal is to bring the industry closer together and design platforms that will provide the highest level of efficiency. With that being said we are working hard to seamlessly integrate our technology with all major exchanges and popular marketplaces.
Who are the current investors?
As a result of some ridiculous policies put forth by a competing exchange, Ticket Evolution and it’s investing brokers have decided to keep this list private. We are extremely proud of our group of nearly 100 investors and greatly appreciative of their support.
